Leadership Learning Immersions

The Pathway is a curated leadership learning journey that inspires a culture of connection, curiosity, strategic reflection and inquiry in your executive team. Its themes are distilled from my executive coaching practice and 600+ hours of annual research into leadership, strategy and human development, ensuring it stretches thinking rather than adding noise

What it is

The Pathway is a structured programme combining carefully selected reading, facilitated dialogue and practical follow-through. It helps senior teams build trust, sharpen strategic thinking and embed habits of continual learning.

It can be configured as a once-off intervention around a particular topic or, for greatest impact, as a year-long journey structured around key leadership and strategic themes.

Each session is 3 hours and is best suited for between 7 and 14 participants. Participants invest the same amount of time preparing for the dialogue. It is a powerful and cost-effective way to accelerate collective leadership learning.

Many executives have benefitted from excellent executive education; it is far rarer that they have that kind of consistent dialogue with their colleagues. The Pathway fills that gap. It is a place for considered, intentional discussion and debate with the people with whom you share the responsibility of leadership and accountability. It shifts the conversation from immediate concerns to first principles, enabling a new type of dialogue and deepened strategic thinking.

Why it matters

Most executives are pulled into tactical responses at the expense of strategic reflection, reaction at the expense of first principles response, siloes at the expense of cross-functional exploration and creation. The Pathway creates a supportive and intellectually challenging environment that breaks down those barriers, accelerating a leadership culture centered around trust, curiosity and strategic dialogue —ingredients that research shows are essential for organisations that adapt faster than they are forced to.

How it works

ElementDesign
FormatOne stand-alone seminar or a five-session annual journey
Session length3-hour facilitated dialogue anchored by curated pre-reading
Time commitment3 h prep + 3 h dialogue per session → ~38 min/week over a year
Group sizeOptimal 7–14 executives; scalable in either direction
SchedulingOften appended to ExCo/Board meetings and followed by an informal dinner to deepen connection

Each theme is distilled from my executive coaching practice and 600+ hours of annual research into leadership, strategy and human development, ensuring every piece of content stretches thinking rather than adds noise.

Outcomes

  • Sharper strategic and critical thinking—intentional reading expands mental models and decision latitude
  • Shared language for complexity—teams develop common references that speed alignment
  • Deeper trust and relational resilience—structured conversation surfaces assumptions before they calcify into conflict
  • Improved communication discipline—leaders practise listening for nuance and speaking with precision
  • Greater capacity to navigate ambiguity—exposure to diverse perspectives broadens problem-solving range

Collectively, these shifts create the reflexes of a genuine learning culture—one where insight, experimentation and adaptation are everyday behaviours, not annual events.

Is it right for your team?

  • Busyness is crowding out strategic reflection, and off-sites feel too infrequent and too operational to change the pattern.
  • You want to institutionalise curiosity and candour so new leaders onboard faster and seasoned leaders keep stretching.
  • You confront cross-functional challenges that no single leader can solve alone.
